We Have Archery at Home

A simple backyard VR archery range. Inspired by trying to find exactly this on the quest store for my kid who loves archery. We just wanted a way to plink.

Draw a bow in the back yard. Six bows from a kids' recurve up to a sighted compound, four crossbows, and a range full of things worth hitting — hay bales, clay pigeons, balloons, running decoys, tin cans, and a couple of others.

Screenshots

Captured in the headset, so this is what you actually see.

First-person view down a drawn bow, arrow nocked and aimed at hay bale targets across a grass range.

A crossbow held level in both hands, sighted on targets at the far end of the range.

Looking through a compound bow's peep sight, the ring framing a distant bullseye.

Bow raised toward a blue sky with a scatter of clay pigeons arcing overhead.

Features

Where you can play it

Meta Quest — standalone, no PC required. Note on Quest 2, the shadows and lighting are completely turned off, but you can try turning them on. I also do not own a Quest 3 or 3s, I'm relying on others to test there.

Steam — very likely, but not at launch. The PC build already runs, it just isn't tested across enough headsets to put my name on yet. I plan to ship one platform at a time.

Itch.io - also very likely, this app is built to run anywhere, again, it's just time.
